HHCC performs a wide variety of a cappella and accompanied classical and contemporary music.
The choir’s aim is to perform at a high standard whilst singing music that our audiences will love.
Our members come from a wide variety of professional backgrounds, different ages and nationalities. We all have previous choral experience, including with cathedral, chapel and other chamber choirs.
Whilst standards are high, we practice in a friendly, supportive and developmental environment and often end up in the pub after our Thursday rehearsals.
We welcome new members who are confident sight readers and have previous choral experience.
As a small choir, each voice counts, so attending at least 70% of rehearsals is an important commitment.
We would love to hear from you if you are thinking of joining a chamber choir!
Please get in touch if you would like to enquire about vacancies or come along for a taster rehearsal.
Our choral calendar is divided into 3 terms per year with a break in the summer:
Winter
Spring
Summmer
Terms are usually 12 weeks but may vary depending on our programme.
Joining Fee £20
Membership Fee £100 (a typical term)
Concessions may be available - we do not want to preclude suitable voices for the choir due to cost.
HHCC is glad to support our friends at The Swiss Church. Our members sing a choral service on the first Sunday of every month during choir term on a rota basis.
The Sunday Choir is directed by alumnus Yang Wern Ooi.
We usually go for coffee after the service!
